City of Gulfport
Project Name: Senior Center Expansion

The City of Gulfport commissioned Hoyt Architecture and Advanced Engineering & Design, Inc. to perform the building modifications and the site modifications, respectively. The work included the construction of a parking lot, a drainage system, stormwater treatment ponds, potable water system upgrades and the extension of the City’s sanitary sewer collector to serve the expanded municipal facility. This project required the acquisition of regulatory permits from the Southwest Florida Water Management District and the Pinellas County Public Health Unit. This project was performed in a cooperative “design-build” relationship with Hennessy Construction and was completed successfully under stringent time constraints.

A.K. Holcomb Construction
Project Name: Gambro Clinic, St. Petersburg

Advanced Engineering & Design Inc., was retained by A.K. Holcomb Construction to provide site planning, site engineering, EDC process coordination, permitting and construction inspection services for the development of an outpatient medical facility located in the downtown area of St. Petersburg. AED coordinated closely with the City’s Planning Department to provide streetscape elements within the city’s right-of-way since the project is located in a redevelopment district.

St. Anthony’s Health Care
Project Name: Site Modifications

AED prepared a site improvement plan consisting of new driveway entrance, new parking areas, modifications to various building footprints, various site improvements including utility extensions, walkways and retaining walls. Work required extensive coordination with the Florida Department of Transportation (Right-of way Utilization and Drainage Connection permits), SWFWMD permits and a Pinellas County HRS permit.
