Advanced Engineering & Design, Inc. has prepared numerous drainage studies and has designed numerous stormwater treatment and collection systems. AED has prepared Master Stormwater Plans, successfully prepared grant applications to the SWFWMD’s Pinellas - North Anclote River Basin Board for Cooperative Funding, and continue to serve several municipalities with their NPDES Annual Reports.

Some of the recent stormwater projects include:

  • City of Pinellas Park - 102nd Avenue Ditch Culvert Analysis
  • City of Pinellas Park - 44th Street Secondary Drainage System Excavation
  • City of Pinellas Park - Channel 1-C Culvert Design
  • City of Belleair Bluffs - Citywide Drainage Master Plan
  • City of Belleair Bluffs - Cooperative Funding - Grant Applications
  • City of Belleair Bluffs - Sunset Drainage Basin Outfall Design
  • Pinellas Park Water Management District - Channel 4E Culvert

The following projects are examples of previous stormwater improvement projects prepared by Advanced Engineering & Design, Inc.

City of Pinellas Park
Project Name: Channel 1-C Culvert Design

The City of Pinellas Park retained the services of Advanced Engineering & Design, Inc. to conduct an analysis of the watershed adjacent to their Helen Howarth Park. Channel 1-C conveys a considerable amount of flow from north of 94th Avenue. This project resulted in the construction of a new box culvert at 96th Avenue North and modifications to the existing box culvert that crosses 94th Avenue North.

City of Belleair Bluffs
Project Name: Sunset Drive Basin Outfall Project
Upon completing an analysis of alternative routes for a new stormwater outfall pipe, Advanced Engineering & Design, Inc. determined that the best alternative was to replace an existing outfall pipe. A grant application was prepared successfully, resulting in a 50% participation in cost by SWFWMD.

Diocese of St. Petersburg
Project Name: Calvary Memorial Gardens
The Catholic Diocese of St. Petersburg retained the services of Advanced Engineering & Design, Inc. to design the roadway system within their new Phase. A new driveway off of 118th Avenue North required extensive modeling of the watershed due to significant flow within the existing open channel section that parallels 118th Avenue North, ultimately discharging into Cross Bayou. The driveway crossing required the construction of a new 10’x 6’ box culvert and headwall system.
